Commissioning Engineer

McKinstry is growing in the Texas marketplace and we are adding to our Dallas team. Established in 1960, McKinstry advocates for collaborative and sustainable solutions that create high performance buildings designed to ensure occupant comfort, improve systems efficiency, reduce facility operational costs and ultimately optimize client profitability for the life of their building.

Our Commissioning Technician will commission and balance activities on a variety of HVAC systems for the purpose of obtaining engineering specifications. Successfully perform functional testing of such systems. Responsible for reviewing construction documentation and providing recommendations, this individual may also develop training agendas and supervise service mechanics. Upon completion of a project, the Commissioning Engineer will complete appropriate documentation for publication. Knowledge of the operation and programming of controls and emergency systems control sequences desired.

If you are a team player and have knowledge of mechanical and control systems that values customer satisfaction we would like to learn more. A High School diploma or equivalent and formal HVAC training is required. A mechanical engineering degree is preferred.
