Position Summary: This position will be responsible for full cycle recruiting in the New York City area, including but not limited to sourcing, interviewing, and screening potential candidates. As a recruiter in this region, you will be primarily recruiting for sales agents, but will also recruit for other positions as needed. This position will report to the New York Market Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assists the Market Manager with maintaining sales agent staffing levels
- Recruits, interviews, checks references, makes offers, and conducts orientations/training
- Ensures the quality of sales agents presented to sales management
- Ensures staffing goals are met
- Performs exit interviews
- Acts as liaison to Corporate HR department
- Organizes and attends job fairs
- Works with local college career offices on university recruitment activities
- Utilizes online recruiting web sites
- Handles confidential and time sensitive data
- Generates weekly recruiting reports
- Obtains a firm understanding of sales processes and customer base through job shadowing and customer contact events
- Identifies key characteristics of successful Sales Agents to aid in recruiting quality candidates.
- Works closely with field sales managers and HR Managers to achieve Sales Agent retention goals
- Prepares and presents training programs to orient new hires to Green Mountain, competitive electricity products, and successful sales practices
- Develops and implements supplemental learning programs, as appropriate, to enhance agent knowledge and skills
- Promotes team building
- Ensures agents have a thorough understanding of the applicable sections of the NY State "Uniform Business Practices"
Required Skills and Experience:
- College degree or equivalent experience required
- Requires 3-5 years of training and recruiting experience
- Familiarity with recruiting practices and online recruiting sites and techniques
- Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Requires experience in handling confidential data
- Requires excellent communication skills
